Public Input Sought on Reconstruction Fund Act

Consultation is now open on the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation Act 2023 . Your input will help inform the findings and recommendations of the review.

The National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC) invests in priority areas to diversify and transform Australian industry. The NRFC Act sets out the purpose, function and governance of the NRFC.

The NRFC Act requires an independent review of how it is operating by the end of 2026, to assess whether it is supporting the NRFC to deliver its intended outcomes.

The Australian Government has appointed Ms Swati Dave to deliver the independent review.

In line with the terms of reference, she will consider the:

  • design and effectiveness of the NRFC Act's objects, functions and powers
  • governance arrangements, including the board, CEO and ministerial roles
  • transparency, reporting and accountability provisions.

Your feedback will help identify if the NRFC Act settings are effective in driving industrial transformation and economic resilience.
