Police are investigating a shooting which occurred in Fairfield West yesterday afternoon.
About 3pm today, a single shot was fired into a white Subaru Forrester which was parked on Cambewarra Road. There was no one in the vehicle at the time.
The owner of the vehicle was in a nearby house at the time, and after the incident drove to Fairfield Police Station to report it.
The Forrester was seized and will be subject to forensic examination.
Detectives from Fairfield Local Area Command are making inquiries into the incident and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stopers, NSW Police say.
