QDEP Round 18 announced

More than 20 events across nine Queensland regions will receive a combined $374,500 in funding through the latest round of the Queensland Destination Events Program (QDEP).

The latest funding is being delivered through Round 18 of QDEP, which has supported 432 events with more than $13.2 million in funding since 2015.

These events are uniquely Queensland and this year range from participatory sporting events such as Beach Rugby Australia on the Gold Coast, the Ports Short Film Festival in Tropical North Queensland to the Granite Belt Art & Craft Trail in Southern Queensland Country. They also form part of the state’s It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar, which is expected to generate $380 million for the state’s economy in the second half of 2021.

Funding can be used for event marketing costs, strategic planning, engagement of personnel and infrastructure hire.
