QLD Lotto Jackpot Winner: We’ll Spread Wealth Around

In the heart of Rosewood in Ipswich, a local woman's rare lottery ticket purchase has led to a life-altering win of $1.3 million in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4411 on 28 October 2023. With a winning amount of $1,311,960.34, the Queensland resident is eager to share her fortune with her family.

The winner's joy was palpable when she received the confirmation call from lotto officials.

"Oh my god! It’s real, it’s real!" she exclaimed in disbelief. "We’ve won the lottery!"

This windfall was unexpected, as the woman is not a regular player, saying "I rarely ever buy a ticket! Maybe five times a year do I decide to take a chance." The decision to buy a ticket this time was a spur-of-the-moment choice while getting a birthday card.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, she also shared her plans for the winnings.

"We’ve retired and we’ve been very fortunate in life, so we’ll spread the wealth around our family," she revealed. Her vision includes a grand family meal where she can hand out cheques to her loved ones, offering them a significant financial boost.

The Rosewood Newsagency, where the winning entry was bought, is celebrating its first-ever division one winning entry.

Amy Wang, the manager, expressed her excitement for the winner and the hope that this sets a precedent for more successes to come.

The winning numbers for the draw were 30, 13, 12, 14, 18, and 35, with supplementary numbers 43 and 2. The breakdown of division winnings is available here: Saturday Lotto Draw 4411 Mints 4 New Millionaires
