QPS is getting into the spirit of State of Origin and has teamed up with Queensland Rugby League to help raise funds for charity with a special maroon vehicle, Queensland Police say.

The bonnet has been signed by the 2017 Queensland State of Origin team and will be auctioned by The Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre which provides expert advice, support and care for all those affected by cancer.

The car celebrates being a Queenslander while also sporting important road safety messages to remind the community of the Fatal Five; speeding, drink and drug driving, driving tired, failure to wear a seatbelt and distracted driving.

The car will be on display this Sunday at the Maroon Festival and also outside Suncorp Stadium for the first and third State of Origin games.

Thank you to Eagers Holden for donating the vehicle.
