The outdoor pool at the Queanbeyan Aquatic Centre is gearing up to welcome visitors with the summer season kicking off this Saturday 4 October.
Thanks to the hard work of council staff, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is excited to open the outdoor pool for summer 2025/26, the first outdoor pool to open for the summer season in the ACT and surrounding area.
'Our team has been working tirelessly to ensure the pool is ready for swimmers, families, and fitness enthusiasts to enjoy all summer long,' said Mayor Kenrick Winchester.
'It's wonderful to see Queanbeyan leading the region with the first outdoor pool to open for summer and we can't wait for the community to dive into another fantastic season.'
The outdoor pool will remain open until Thursday 2 April 2026, coinciding with Easter.
Operating hours are as follows:
- Mondays to Fridays: 5:30am to 8:00pm
- Saturdays and Sundays: 7:00am to 6:00pm
- Public Holidays: 10:00am to 5:00pm
Whether it's early-morning laps, weekend family outings, or holiday relaxation, Queanbeyan's outdoor pool is the perfect spot for summer fun with friends and family.
