Canadian Coast Guard
The Canadian Coast Guard's seasonal search and rescue stations across Quebec will close on the following dates:
- November 26 : Kegaska
- November 27 : Havre-Saint-Pierre
- November 28 : Quebec
- November 30 : Tadoussac and Rivière-au-Renard
- December 30 : Cap-aux-Meules
Any marine emergency can be reported to the Canadian Coast Guard at all times at 1‑800‑463‑4393 or through channel 16 on VHF radios.
Winter search and rescue operations are carried out by the Canadian Coast Guard using icebreakers and other available vessels in the area, if required. We also work closely with our colleagues at Canadian Armed Forces, and local and provincial agencies for search and rescue operations, as needed.
Highly trained Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteers and their vessels also remain available to help boaters in distress.
