More than 700,000 people flew through Queensland Airports Limited's (QAL) four ports in April - the highest number since January 2020.
The 707,862 people who flew through Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa and Longreach airports is just 1.4 per cent less than the amount who travelled through in April 2019 - suggesting the airports have almost returned to pre-COVID-19 passenger volumes.
