Case details and COVID-19 testing

Queensland has 19 active cases.

We are urging all Queenslanders with COVID-19 symptoms to come forward and get tested, particularly people at the Gold Coast which is currently an area of concern.

New South Wales truck driver

A New South Wales truck driver entered Queensland on the 25 August and returned to New South Wales on the 26 August. They were infectious in the Queensland community for one day.

Contact tracing locations for Goondwindi, Archerfield and Bundamba are available on the Queensland Health website.

Queensland truck driver

A Queensland truck driver currently in New South Wales tested positive to COVID-19. Investigations are ongoing and, if there are any, contact tracing locations will be placed on the Queensland Health website as soon as possible.

Family travelling from Melbourne

A family of five travelling from Melbourne to the Gold Coast is currently in hotel quarantine. It is unclear whether the family is COVID-19 positive.

Two of the family members attended the Australian International Islamic College for one day, and as a result, the school has closed and the school children affected will need to quarantine.

All family members have been tested for COVID-19 and these results are expected to be available tomorrow.
