A third person has been arrested as investigations continue after a man's body was discovered in Sydney's north west last year.
Strike Force Halderen was established by The Hills Police Area Command and the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 39-year-old man, whose body was found on a property at Gleness Place, Glenorie, about midday on Friday 14 March 2025.
Following inquiries, two men, aged 24 and 34, and a 35-year-old woman, were arrested at the scene and were taken to Castle Hill Police Station. They were released pending further investigation.
On Sunday 23 March 2025, a 24-year-old man was arrested at a home on Meridan Avenue, Glenorie and taken to Castle Hill Police Station, where he was charged with murder, and remains before the courts.
On Thursday 4 April 2025, police arrested a 35-year-old female at a home on Gleness Place, Glenorie.
She was taken to Castle Hill Police Station and charged with accessory after the fact to murder, and is currently before the courts.
Following further enquiries, investigators applied for a warrant for the arrest a 33-year-old man.
On Wednesday 28 January 2026, Strike Force Halderen detectives travelled to Queensland, and with the assistance of the Queensland Police Service Homicide Investigation Unit, attended an address in Seaspray Drive, Agnes Water, where the 33-year-old man was arrested and brought back to Gladstone Watchhouse.
A subsequent search warrant was executed at the address, where a number of exhibits were seized for forensic examination.
The man was brought before Gladstone Magistrates Court where his extradition was granted.
On Thursday 29 January 2026, the 33-year-old was extradited back to NSW and taken to Mascot Police Station, where he was formally charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
He was refused bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 30 January 2026.
