The Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start for Queensland exporters who are set to benefit from enhanced opportunities across China and Vietnam, following an historic week-long trade mission.

Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates led the overseas venture as part of the Crisafulli Government's commitment to deliver a plan for Queensland's future and better lifestyle through a stronger economy.

The official opening of a new Trade and Investment Queensland office in Hanoi expands services to Queensland exporters in one of the region's fastest growing markets.

Minister Bates took part in more than a dozen meetings and engagements, helping re-establish Queensland as Australia's premier trade and investment destination, after a decade of decline under Labor.

In China, the QueensLand of Opportunity pavilion at China International Import Expo played host to the largest outbound trade delegation in the State's history, with more than 110 delegates from over 50 Queensland companies exhibiting their products.

The Crisafulli Government also signed a major MoU in Shanghai promoting cooperation between Queensland and one of China's largest online retailers, JD.com, delivering trade and investment outcomes worth millions for Queensland businesses.

The mission concluded in Shanghai, with Minister Bates saying the mission was part of the Crisafulli Government's plan to reverse a decade of decline and re-establish Queensland on the world stage.

"Under Labor, exports were transactional, relationships were an afterthought, Queensland's export potential sat idle, and investment opportunities were missed," Minister Bates said.

"By contrast, the Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start, and is telling the world Queensland is open for business.

"In China, we sealed a new partnership with China's largest online retailer, while our trade delegation to CIIE – the largest in the State's history – ensured we built relationships that will strengthen supply chains, attract investment, and create Queensland jobs.

"In Vietnam, we met key trade, investment and international education partners in one of Asia's fastest growing markets to reinforce the Crisafulli Government is committed to helping our state's exporters expand their businesses and attract investment."

This successful mission builds on the Crisafulli Government's Queensland–China Trade and Investment Strategy 2025-2028, launched in May.
