A rare opportunity has arisen for skilled and experienced individuals to join the Board of the Territory's biggest events' organiser, Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC).
NTMEC delivers the Territory's largest events, attracting thousands of people to the NT. This supports local jobs and businesses, and strengthens the economy. Independent research shows just six events delivered by NTMEC in 2021-2022 generated 276,239 visitor nights and an economic benefit of $70.6 million for the Northern Territory.
As well as delivering major events, NTMEC also helps grow industry capability through the Event Funding Program, with around 70 events supported each year.
The passionate Board is looking for people with varied skills and experience to fill vacancies, which have become available due to a number of reasons, including retirement and moves interstate.
