Re-appointment of AgriFutures Australia Chairperson

Minister for Agriculture Bridget McKenzie has announced the re-appointment of, Mrs Kay Hull AM, as AgriFutures Australia chairperson for another three year term as of 2 August 2019.

"AgriFutures plays an important leadership role in planning, investing in and managing research and development (R&D) for some of Australia's emerging and niche agricultural industries," Minister McKenzie said.

"The organisation has a long history of strong leadership and industry collaboration that has been integral to advancing the corporation's R&D priorities and addressing national rural issues.

"Australia's agriculture sector has benefited greatly from AgriFutures' skilled and experienced leaders and its critical role in R&D to improve resource management and increase agricultural productivity.

"Mrs Hull's leadership will continue to be paramount to realising the priorities highlighted in AgriFutures Australia's Strategic R&D Plan for 2017-2022, including identifying and addressing common challenges and opportunities across rural sectors and delivering value investments.

"I'd like to congratulate Mrs Hull on her well-deserved re-appointment and look forward to seeing what the next three years will bring."
