Record-Breaking Submissions for 2023 International Annual Meeting

The surge in submissions suggests a new attendance record is likely for the upcoming 2023 International Annual Meeting

Madison, WI, June 30, 2023 - The American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) are thrilled to announce a record number of abstract submissions for their 2023 International Annual Meeting, to be held Oct 29 through Nov 1 in St. Louis, MO. With a total of 3,338 submissions received, this achievement marks a significant milestone for The Societies. Abstract submissions are the best indicator of Annual Meeting attendance and suggest The Societies are en route to set a new attendance record in 2023.

The surge in submissions demonstrates the continued growth and significance of agricultural and environmental research within the scientific community. It reflects the dedication and passion of researchers, scientists, students, and professionals in their pursuit of advancing knowledge and addressing critical challenges in agriculture, crop, and soil science.

"We knew we would be seeing submission numbers that would get us back to pre-Covid attendance levels, but to see us on pace to have our highest attendance ever is a welcome surprise," said Jim Cudahy, CEO of ASA, CSSA, and SSSA. "The record-breaking number of abstract submissions reflect the respect our scientific communities have for our meeting as a platform to present their research, as well as a premier opportunity to network with fellow scientists, students, and professionals. These groups are dedicated to addressing global challenges related to food security, environmental sustainability, and climate change."

This year's meeting promises to be an exceptional event. It will provide a platform for researchers, students, industry professionals, and policymakers to engage in meaningful discussions, share groundbreaking research findings, and explore innovative solutions for the future of agriculture, crop, and soil science.
