Recovery efforts continue after a man who was reported missing in the state's Central West was located deceased.
The man, aged 19, was last seen on Market Street at Mudgee about 2.30am on Saturday (2 November 2019).
As part of an extensive search, officers from Orana Mid Western Police District, with the assistance of specialist resources, located a body within a building in the Mudgee CBD about 4.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 5 November 2019).
While formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed the body is that of the 19-year-old man reported missing.
A crime scene was established as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death, however initial inquiries suggest it is not suspicious.
The police operation will continue today in a building on Market Street as officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District and specialist resources continue recovery efforts.
The public is urged to be mindful of the operation which will cause some disruption to pedestrian and vehicle access in some areas of the CBD.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
