Recruiting Services Contract 2022

Department of Defence

The short-listed respondents of the Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) - Recruiting Services Contract 2022 (RS2022) Request for Proposal (RFP) have been released with four successful respondents:

  • Accenture Australia Pty Ltd (Accenture);
  • Adecco Australia Pty Ltd (Adecco);
  • Manpower Services (Australia) Pty Ltd (Talent Solutions); and
  • Toll Remote Logistics Pty Ltd (Toll).

Minister for Defence Personnel Darren Chester said attracting the right people for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) now and into the future was essential to our national security.

"Defence is committed to changing the way it recruits in order to meet the requirements of the Navy, Army and Air Force, candidate expectations, responding to market changes and achieving return on Government investment," Mr Chester said.

"Through the next stage of the procurement process, Defence wants to engage with a capability partner to deliver a recruiting system that is modern and fit for purpose.

"Importantly, it needs to be capable of attracting a broad range of candidates to successfully deliver capability into the future.

"I would like to thank all respondents for their interest in the DFR RS2022 retender and acknowledge the investment in the preparation of highly competitive responses."

Evaluation of responses received has been underway since early January 2021, confirming a competitive market with industry proposing modern and innovative ways the ADF could recruit the future workforce.

The shortlisted respondents will be invited to participate in the next stage of the procurement process and respond to a request for tender.

This process will include opportunities for shortlisted respondents to engage with Defence individually and participate in solution definition activities to refine their proposed solutions, prior to submitting their final submission.

The RFP was the first of a two-stage tendering process conducted by Defence, which was released as an open approach to market via AusTender on 28 August 2020 and closed on 18 December 2020.

A decision on the future supplier will occur in October 2022.
