Recycling Drop Off Days: Bayside 3 March

Bayside Council's free 22 Recycling Drop Off Days is making recycling simpler, smarter and more convenient than ever, held throughout the year to help residents responsibly dispose of unwanted household items.

Held at two convenient locations - Bexley Depot on the first Saturday of every month and Botany Depot on the third Saturday - these regular events give residents a practical way to clear out hard-to-dispose-of items while protecting the environment.

Accepted materials include batteries, e-waste, scrap metals, whitegoods, mattresses and car tyres - items that can't go in your household bins but can often be recycled or safely processed. By diverting these materials from landfill, Council is helping recover valuable resources and reduce environmental impact across the Bayside local government area.

Recycling Drop Off Days are strictly for domestic household waste. Business and commercial waste cannot be accepted. Attendees will need to show proof of residency within the LGA, and a limit of three cubic metres - approximately a box trailer load - applies per resident, per event.

A full list of accepted items is available on Council's website and Waste app, where residents can also find event dates and helpful recycling information. Upcoming Drop Off Days are also listed in the annual Clean Up, Waste and Recycling Calendar delivered to households at the start of each year.
