Work to upgrade the staircase to one of the most iconic and photographed locations on the Tasman Peninsula - Remarkable Cave - is now complete.

Remarkable Cave has become a must-see destination for visitors to the Tasman Peninsula, and this ensures we are providing the best possible visitor experience for everyone enjoying this stunning natural location.

Pleasingly, the upgraded staircase has supported local jobs through the COVID-19 pandemic with Tasmanian building contractor AJR Construct completing the work.

It follows the completion of improved infrastructure at the Tasman Peninsula site including new parking for 60 cars, long vehicles and buses, more efficient and safer one-way roads, a new coastal viewing area with improved accessibility, cave viewing area improvements, and a renovated toilet.

Those visiting can also enjoy new walking tracks from Remarkable Cave to Crescent Bay and Mount Brown. This includes short walks to a new coastal viewing area and Maignon Blowhole and longer walks to the Crescent Bay Lookout, Crescent Bay and Mount Brown.
