A landslip and subsequent pavement failure that resulted from the March flood event has necessitated a 4-tonne load limit to be enforced approximately 14 km along Kalang Road.
Remediation works at the slip are due to commence on Monday 19 April 2021, and are anticipated to span two weeks. These works will be a temporary measure, with longer term rehabilitation works necessary to ensure stabilisation of the slope. Council will continue to liaise with affected road users as additional assessments of the site are undertaken.
Access through the site is possible however delays to travel may be experienced as works progress.
