Renewed NSW Police Appeal for Missing Macquarie Fields Man

Police are reappealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Macquarie Fields area.

Darren Banks, age 57, was last seen at a home on Maple Place, Macquarie Fields, about 4pm on Friday 15 March 2024.

Unable to be located or contacted since, Darren was reported missing to officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command yesterday (Tuesday 20 March 2024), who commenced inquires to locate him.

Following inquiries police located Darren's vehicle, a White Toyota Camry 2004 with black roof racks and NSW registration ECR-17S, at Starlight Trail, Wattle Ridge 15km west of Bargo, yesterday Thursday 21 March 2024.

Police believe that Darren may have gone bushwalking towards Ahearn lookout or Emmets Flat Campground area.

Police hold serious concerns for Darren's' welfare due to this being out of character.

Darren is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, approximately 180cm tall, with short brown hair and beard with brown eyes.

Anyone who has been in the Starlight Trail area who saw Darren, his vehicle or has information in relation to Darren's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
