Rescue underway after woman falls from lookout south of Bathurst, NSW

A multi-agency operation is underway to rescue a woman who has fallen from a lookout south of Bathurst shortly before midday, NSW Police say.

About 11.50am today, police from Chifley Local Area Command were told a woman – believe to be aged in her 20s – had fallen 100m from Grove Creek Falls lookout at Abercrombie, about 75km south of Bathurst.

Emergency services responding to the scene include police from Chifley Local Area Command and the Rescue Squad, as well as local SES volunteers and NSW Ambulance Paramedics. The Ambulance helicopter has been deployed to the area.

A command post has been established at the lookout and police and paramedics are now walking down to the woman.

She is reported to be conscious; however, her injuries are unknown.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
