We welcome the announcement today that the State of Queensland will not appeal the floods class action decision.
However for our clients to get the compensation they deserve promptly, a whole-of-government approach is needed.
It will make little difference to the situation of the people of South East Queensland if the State doesn't appeal, but state-owned entities Seqwater and Sunwater do appeal.
