Emergency services have attended a fire at a restaurant in Panania yesterday, NSW Police say.
Just before 1pm (Thursday 25 January 2018), emergency services were called to Tower Street, where they found a restaurant alight.
Fire fighters from Fire & Rescue NSW attended and contained the fire to the kitchen area, which took three hours to extinguish.
Two fire fighters were injured after a partial roof collapsed in the kitchen area. The officers were treated at the scene before being taken to Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital for smoke inhalation, and have since been released.
The restaurant was not open at the time and no one was injured.
Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command attended and have commenced investigations.
The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen and is not being treated as suspicious.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
