Revocation of stand down – Police officer in Northern Region, QLD

A 49-year-old male Constable from the Northern Region who was stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service on March 9, 2017 will now return to operational duties following the revocation of the stand down, Queensland Police say.

The officer had been the subject of internal discipline proceedings that are now finalised regarding allegations of failure to obey a direction by a commissioned officer, untruthfulness, failure to report serious crime and inappropriate management of an informant.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.
