A ride-share driver will appear in court today on sexual touching charges following an incident in Sydney's inner west at the weekend.
About 2.50am on Sunday 28 March 2021, a 16-year-old girl booked a ride-share service from an address in Haberfield to take her home.
At the conclusion of the trip it will be alleged in court that the 31-year-old ride-share driver sexually touched the teenager.
The girl reported the incident to officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command and an investigation was commenced.
The man attended Auburn Police Station yesterday (Monday 29 March 2021), where he was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.
He was refused bail and will appear in Burwood Local Court today (Monday 30 March 2021).
