Rider critical after crash, NSW

A rider is in a serious condition in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Mount Keira yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 4.45pm (Wednesday 12 September 2018) emergency services were called to Mount Keira Road, Mount Keira, after reports a motorcycle and a Volkswagen 4WD have collided.

Upon arrival police found the rider, a 26-year-old West Wollongong man, trapped under the 4WD.

He was freed and airlifted to St George Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the 4WD, a 18-year-old man, was uninjured. He was taken to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Wollongong Police District established a crime scene and commenced investigations.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
