Rider dies after quad bike crash at Broken Hill

A man has died after a single-vehicle quad bike crash in the state's far west today.

About 2.30pm (Tuesday 31 August 2021) emergency services were called to a rural area east of Menindee Road, Broken Hill, after reports a man was injured following a quad bike crash.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and commenced CPR on a 24-year-old man, before he was taken to Broken Hill Hospital; however, he was pronounced deceased on arrival.

Officers from Barrier Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
