Rider in critical conditional after crash - Lake Haven

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a motorcycle crash on the state's Central Coast, which has left a man fighting for life in hospital.

About 6.45am yesterday (Saturday 21 March 2020), police and emergency services responded following reports of a motorcycle crash on Lake Haven Drive, Lake Haven.

The 29-year-old male rider was located with serious head and leg injuries and treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

He has since undergone surgery and remains in a critical condition.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

While initial investigations suggest there were no other vehicles involved in the crash, police are appealing for witnesses to assist with their inquiries.

In particular, they are seeking dash cam vision from the area in the lead-up to the crash or information from anyone who may have seen the rider and his motorcycle – a black Honda CBR – between 6am and the time of the crash.
