This fortnightly update is a guide to when and where MidCoast Council roadworks and maintenance projects will be taking place.
The works schedule can change and is dependent on weather conditions. Drivers may experience minor traffic delays at some of these locations.
Construction projects are being carried out at Red Head Road / Diamond Beach Road Roundabout; Sandbar View Place – stormwater drainage line; Taree Street, Tuncurry – asphalt wearing surface; Little Street and North Street, Forster – line marking of new asphalt; Upper Myall Road; The Bucketts Way overtaking lane; and Blackhead Road footpath. Road reconstruction is taking place at Kolinda Drive / Old Bar Road; Bushland Drive Taree, from Lawson Crescent to North Street; and The Bucketts Way, Krambach.
Ongoing disaster recovery work is taking place across the MidCoast. Over the fortnight you may see crews working on Kinka Road; Thunderbolts Way, Leslies Bridge northern abutment; Thunderbolts Way landslip repairs north of Giro; Gloucester River Bridge; Wilsons Bridge; Cundle Flat Road; Belbora Creek Road; Oakey Creek Road causeway; Berrico Creek; Barrington East Road – drainage; Oxley Island – road drainage; Mount Coxcombe; Middlebrook Road; Coralville Road; Beauly Road; The Bucketts Way; Hogans Road. Planning and design is underway at Newmans Road; The Bucketts Way landslip; and Wootton Way landslip.
Maintenance work is also underway across the MidCoast, including pothole patching on Coomba Road; The Lakes Way, both north and south of Tuncurry; Myall Way, Tea Gardens; The Bucketts Way, Allworth; Crowdy Road; Comboyne Road; Bootawa Road; Wherrol Flat; Nowendoc Road; and various sites across Hannam Vale; Wingham; and Gloucester. Pothole patching is a temporary solution to keep the road as smooth as possible pending more permanent solutions.
Roadside vegetation management is ongoing in the Elands area and on The Bucketts Way.
Maintenance grading on unsealed roads will be taking place at Newmans Road; Manning Hill Road; Terreel Road; Tallwoods Drive, Rainbow Flat; Horse Point Road; Padmans Road; West Bulga Road; Cocumbark Road; James Cowan Lane; Waitui Road; Timber Ridge Road.
