Road Improvement Works On William Street, Wallan

Council is continuing its investment in safer, more reliable local roads with upcoming works on William Street in Wallan.

The project will improve the road surface and address existing deformation and pothole issues.

These upgrades will make the road safer for all users and provide a smoother, longer-lasting surface for drivers.

What's happening?

Works will take place from the Northern Highway to Valley Drive and include:

  • Stabilisation works to strengthen the road base
  • Repair of potholes and surface deformations
  • Cleaning of road shoulders to improve drainage and safety
  • Raising the pavement where required
  • This section of the road will also be resealed in early 2026.

When?

Works are scheduled to occur from Monday 15 September to Friday 26 September, weather permitting.

Traffic impacts

  • Single-lane operation will be in place to allow safe passage of vehicles and protect workers
  • Drivers are advised to follow all traffic management personnel and signage and reduce speeds through the work zone
  • Minor delays are expected.
