Road rage incident leads to arrest, SA

A man has been arrested after an alleged road rage incident involving a knife yesterday, according to SA Police.

At 4.15pm on Monday 10 July, a 47-year-old man was driving north along Marion Road when it’s alleged the driver of a Subaru cut him off near Sir Donald Bradman Drive.

There was an exchange of words between the men when police will allege the driver of the Subaru swerved towards the victim, colliding with his side mirror.

A short time later both men stopped their cars and got out on Henley Beach Road, where the victim reports the 22-year-old man from Semaphore used a knife causing a cut to the victims hand.

The accused then left the scene. The victim was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he received stitches.

Enquiries by police led them to the Semaphore man and he was arrested for intentionally causing harm.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam vision of the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
