Road toll rises following Murray Bridge crash, SA

The State’s road toll has risen following the death of a man involved in a crash at Murray Bridge on Thursday, according to SA Police.

Just after 7pm on Thursday 23 June a Ford station wagon travelling on Jervois Road veered off the road and collided with a stobie pole.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 67-year-old man from Murray Bridge, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment but sadly died on Saturday 25 June.

Major Crash Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident with a medical episode being the possible cause of the crash.

The State’s road toll stands at 45 compared with 48 at the same time last year.
