Roadworks On Hume Freeway At Tallarook

Transport Victoria will be carrying out essential roadworks on the Hume Freeway southbound lanes at Tallarook.

The works will take place along a 600-metre section between the railway overpass bridge and the Tallarook southbound on-ramp. Asphalt pavement works will restore the condition of the road surface and improve safety and driving comfort.

The works are scheduled from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, during October and are expected to take approximately four weeks, weather permitting. Some weekend and night works may be required to improve efficiency and maintain the safety of road workers. The dates and times are subject to change if adverse weather occurs.

During the works, motorists can expect lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h, which may cause traffic delays of five to ten minutes.

Traffic management crews will be on site to guide vehicles safely through the area.

All road users are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and share this information with colleagues or team members.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption while these important works are completed.
