Robbery investigation in Brisbane City, QLD

Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man who may be able to assist with enquiries in relation to a robbery that occurred in Brisbane City on November 8, Queensland Police say.

At about 9.10am, a woman walking along Adelaide Street was approached by a man who has stolen her handbag.

After a brief struggle, the man forcibly took the handbag from the woman and attempted to flee the scene.

A male member of the public who witnessed the incident came to the woman’s aid, intervening and was able to retrieve the handbag.

The man fled the scene on foot without the handbag.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for the man depicted in the vision or any members of the public who know his identify to contact police as it is believed he may be able to assist police with their inquiries.
