Robbery suspect arrested at Hillcrest, South Australia

Police have arrested a man following a robbery at a Hillcrest service station.

Just after 10pm on Friday 31 January, a man entered a service station on North East Road armed with a hammer and threatened staff. The man stole cash and cigarettes before running off.

Thankfully no one was physically injured.

Police patrols were quick to arrive on scene and arrested the suspect in nearby backstreets. The stolen property was also recovered.

The man is currently being interviewed by police and will be charged later tonight.
