Robbery with violence at Greenbank, QLD

Police have released CCTV footage of an incident where a car was stolen from a service station at Greenbank yesterday, Queensland Police say.

Initial investigations suggest around 4:20pm a man entered a residential property on Stoney Camp Road, Park Ridge and stole a Nissan utility parked in the car port. The man then crashed the vehicle into a nearby ditch at which time the 40-year-old male owner of the vehicle confronted the offender.

A physical altercation ensued resulting in the 40-year-old owner receiving cuts to his arms and chest from what is believed to be a knife. The man has then fled Stoney Camp Road on foot.

The 40-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A short time later the same man attended a service station on Teviot Road, Greenbank where he entered a blue Toyota Land cruiser bearing Queensland registration 057 LQA (pictured).

As the man drove away, the owner of the vehicle tried to stop him however has fallen to the ground.

The owner of the Toyota received a lactation to his right hand which required stitches. Two dogs where in the vehicle which is yet to be located.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall with black hair, a proportionate build and aged in his early 20s.

Police are urging anyone that may recognise the man or has any information which could assist with their investigations to contact Crime Stoppers.
