Robbery with violence in Condon, QLD

Police have charged a man following an alleged robbery with violence in Condon yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.

At around 5:30pm a woman stopped her car on South Vickers Road after a man flagged her down. It will be alleged the man then pulled the woman from the car and stole her vehicle.

The 50-year-old woman was transported to Townsville Base Hospital for treatment of bruising and abrasions to her hands and knees.

The vehicle was later allegedly involved in a collision at the intersection of Riverway Drive and the On Ramp Road where the male driver was taken into custody.

A 30-year-old Rosslea man has been charged with robbery with violence and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday, November 7.
