Detectives are investigating a robbery with violence incident that occurred in Kallangur on Wednesday night, Queensland Police say.
Initial information suggests that three unknown men entered a residence on Marsden Road at 8pm.
The men were armed with crow bars and a machete and one of them struck a man inside the residence on the head, causing a large laceration.
The trio then stole a number of items of jewellery and sum of cash.
The man was transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
A woman was also at the residence at the time but did not sustain any physical injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to contact Police link on 131 444.
