Police are investigating a robbery with violence incident in which a 20-year-old man was punched in the face in South Brisbane overnight, Queensland Police say.
At 10.10pm, two men aged 19 and 20, were sitting on the steps in Musgrave Park near Edmonstone Street when they were approached by a group of teenagers.
One member of the group punched the 20-year-old man in the face and took a backpack before the group left the scene.
The man received medical treatment for facial injuries and did not require hospitalisation.
The group is described as being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander appearance, and were wearing dark clothing, with some members wearing yellow baseball hats.
Investigations are continuing.
