Robbery with violence, Sheldon

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in her house at Sheldon today.

Preliminary investigations indicate around midday, two men entered the house on Mount Cotton Road.

The woman, who was home alone at the time, tried to flee from the men however one man grabbed her and punched her in the face.

They searched the residence and left about half an hour later.

The woman, aged in her forties, was transported to the Redland Hospital for treatment of shock, cuts and abrasions.

The men are not known to the woman and one of the men is described as Caucasian, slim build and aged in his twenties.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision who was travelling on Mount Cotton Road between Lyndon and Greenfield Roads from 11am to 3pm to contact police.
