Rock thrown at car in Nowra

Police are appealing for information after a car was struck by a rock on the Princes Highway in Nowra yesterday morning.

About 12.10am yesterday (Sunday 1 November 2015), a 46-year-old woman was driving a Kia Rio hatchback south on the Princes Highway between Worrigee and Plunkett streets, when the vehicle was struck by a rock.

The rock caused minor damage to the passenger door and the driver was not injured.

Two males, not further described, were seen on the eastern side of the highway, before one of them was seen to throw the rock.

The incident was reported to police later in the day.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police are warning motorists in the area to be cautious, as rock throwing activity has been an ongoing issue in the area.
