Rockhampton Council Reveals Free Australia Day Event Line-up

Country on Kershaw Artist Lineup 2024

Rockhampton Regional Council proudly reveals the stellar artist line-up for the highly anticipated 'Country on Kershaw' concert, a highlight of the region's vibrant 2024 events calendar.

Mayor Tony Williams expresses his enthusiasm for Council's second Country on Kershaw event, scheduled for Australia Day on Friday, January 26th at the scenic Kershaw Gardens.

"We're thrilled to bring together an exceptional array of talent, headlined by rising country sensation Cassidy-Rae, and supported by incredible local acts Zac Cross Band, Tony Cook Band, Louise James FX, Kate Mahood and Rachael Dee."

"What makes this celebration even more special is that it's entirely free! Free entry, free kids' activities, free entertainment, and free games for all ages."

Starting at 3pm, the festivities promise a true-blue Aussie experience with delicious food, bustling markets, and a range of activities, including Backyard Cricket, Tug-of-War, inflatable obstacle courses, and face painting.

Advance Rockhampton Tourism and Events Manager Zac Garven highlights the significance of this year's Australia Day stage program, boasting the most extensive country music line-up ever delivered by the Council.

"Our community has embraced the incredible country music talents showcased at events like Country on Quay and Country on Kershaw so we're excited to present yet another remarkable country music concert, all at no cost to attendees."

"As we kick off the long weekend with Australia Day on Friday, January 26th, we encourage locals to extend invitations to family and friends. Make a weekend of it and relish in the afternoon and evening festivities at the Kershaw Gardens with food vans, a licensed bar, and outstanding country music talent, it's an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of our region."

Country on Kershaw is proudly assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council (NADC). The NADC is supporting hundreds of local communities host Australia Day events around the nation and is encouraging Australians to celebrate being part of a proud, ancient, multicultural nation that values the contribution of every citizen.
