Rothwell man charged with drug trafficking.

A Rothwell man, suspected of drug trafficking, was arrested and charged after police executed two search warrants on September 21 and October 3, Queensland Police say.

Officers from the Moreton District Tactical Crime Squad executed the warrants at a Rothwell address and allegedly located 271 grams of methylamphetamines, a large amount of cash and two illegal handguns and ammunition.

The man was subsequently charged with two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of an offence under the Drugs Misuse Act and possessing explosives (ammunition).

The man appeared in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on October 4 and was remanded in custody to reappear on November 20.

He was further charged with receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying dangerous drugs.

He will appear in relation to the trafficking charge in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on October 8.
