Hawkesbury City Council is inviting passionate locals, community groups and teams to apply for Round Two of the 25/26 Community Sponsorship Program. Applications are open from 1 March to 31 March 2026.
There are three categories within the Community Sponsorship Program:
- Resilient Hawkesbury
Providing funding up to $3,000 to community organisations that build a connected, healthy, inclusive, and resilient Hawkesbury. Think workshops, support groups, and initiatives that bring people together.
- Participation
Have you been selected to represent the Hawkesbury at a state, national or international sporting or cultural event? You could score $150 for individuals or $750 for a team of five or more to help you shine.
- Access to Community Facilities
Funding is also available for not-for-profit community groups located in the Hawkesbury or providing services to the Hawkesbury. Groups can apply for financial assistance for a subsidy of 50% off the cost of hiring a Council or community facility, up to a maximum contribution of $750.
Council is hoping to support a diverse mix of activities in this round. If you or your proposed activity fit within any of these categories, make sure you apply to the Community Sponsorship Program 25/26.
In the October 2025 Round One funding intake, Council supported nine individuals through the Participation category, provided a community group with assistance to hire a community facility under Access to Community Facilities, and funded five community organisations for events and programs delivered through the Resilient Hawkesbury category.
