Rugby Australia has revealed that registrations for Get into Rugby have surpassed 6,000 and continue to grow after the launch of the new participation format.
Get into Rugby was launched in March as the official entry-level format for children aged 4 to 7 ahead of the 2025 season.

Ambassadors Wallaby #984, Waratahs flyer Max Jorgensen, and Australia women's Sevens star Faith Nathan were on hand to launch it on the Today Show.
For many children, the program serves as their introduction to the game and provides them with the skills for a safe, confident transition to contact rugby.
The new and improved offering included two age-based streams, 4-5 and 6-7, to maximise engagement and development.
Data from the opening months of the season shows 6,140 participants have already signed up across the country and Sydney Junior Rugby Union, who trialled the program in 2024, has reported a nearly 20% year-to-date increase in registrations.
"We are extremely pleased with the response to Get into Rugby and congratulate the Clubs and Associations across the country who have embraced the new format," Rugby Australia Director of Community Rugby, Michael Procajlo, said.
"Based on the feedback and growth from ACT Juniors and Sydney Juniors, both in their second year, we are confident this initiative will boost junior playing numbers in the years ahead."
