Ruger arrests suspect of Glengowrie break-in, SA

A man has been caught by police dog PD Ruger this morning after allegedly breaking in to a shed at Glengowrie, according to SA Police.

Just before 2am, Saturday 14 October, police were were called to a home on Morphett Road when the occupant disturbed three men in his rear shed. The men fled when startled by the victim and his dog.

Police quickly cordoned the area, and police dog Ruger was called in to assist. Ruger tracked a scent to nearby Marshall Street where he chased down and caught one of the alleged offenders.

The 50-year-old Noarlunga Downs man was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft, unlawfully on premises, unlawful possession and going equipped. The man did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
