Search and rescue in Beerburrum, QLD

A search for a missing bushwalker in the Beerburrum West State Forest will be coordinated by police this morning, Queensland Police say.

A 24-year-old woman called Triple Zero yesterday afternoon when she became disorientated after she set off on a walk around 4pm.

The woman is now uncontactable, as the battery on her phone is flat.

A land and aerial search was conducted late yesterday, however it was unsuccessful due to the lack of light.

The search will begin again at 8am with the assistance of the State Emergency Service.
