Search suspended for missing man, NSW

The search for a man missing in bushland in the Hawkesbury area has been suspended overnight, NSW Police say.

About 8.10pm yesterday, police were notified that Tiemuzhen Chalaer, aged 24, failed to return from a music/camping party being held near Wheelbarrow Ridge Road track in Lower Portland.

Police have been told he walked into surrounding bushland between 6.30am and 9am yesterday morning, but did not return.

Officers from Hawkesbury Local Area Command, with assistance from Police Rescue, PolAir, the Dog Unit, Operational Support Group and the State Emergency Service conducted a search of the area today; however, the man could not be located and it was suspended about 5pm.

It wil resume at 9am tomorrow.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
