Safe Plates Help Communities Stay Safe

Vehicle and item theft continues to be a challenge across Victoria, but simple actions can make a real difference.

Monash Neighbourhood Watch are hosting FREE Safe Plate Days throughout the year in partnership with Victoria Police to help residents improve vehicle security and connect with local volunteers.

Installing one‑way screws on your number plates is a quick and effective way to prevent theft. You can also reduce risk by locking your car, removing valuables, and parking in well‑lit, visible areas.

Council is proud to be working alongside our community and by taking small, proactive steps together, we can help reduce crime and keep our local areas safe.
