Georges River Council is excited to announce the reopening of Sans Souci Indoor Pool after essential maintenance works took place.
The works restored the facility to a high standard following feedback from the community. They ensure a better experience for pool users and improved facility access.
Maintenance work on the indoor pool included:

Replacement of over 350 tiles to improve safety and presentation.

A comprehensive deep clean.

Pool deck cleaning to improve user comfort and amenity.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "The work completed on Sans Souci Indoor Pool is a win for our community following their feedback. These are improvements which enhance the safety, comfort and presentation of the pool.
"Council remains committed to accessibility, safety and high-quality recreational facilities. I encourage all members of our community to visit and enjoy the refreshed Sans Souci Indoor Pool."
Traffic and parking upgrades to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility at Sans Souci Leisure Centre also occurred based on community feedback. This included:

Four new designated accessible car parking spaces, including shared, yellow-marked access zones.

Installation of two service vehicle spaces featuring removable bollards.

No Parking sweep zones line-marked to allow safe access for service and waste vehicles.

New signage installed to improve safety, navigation, and clarity for all users accessing the shared road and parking area.
Further traffic improvements will also occur in the coming months. Residents are reminded that parking on the concourse is for mobility permit holders only and authorised service vehicles. The driveway to Sans Souci Leisure Centre is a shared access road for vehicles and pedestrian access. Residents wishing to visit Sans Souci Leisure Centre are encouraged to park in the top carpark which has over 115 parking spaces.
